Visit to TorontoMrs. Mumford described that she has "just got back from a little holiday", which is her description of visiting Toronto with the desire to get the blessing for herself. She describes what is going on at the Airport Vineyard Church in Toronto as God's "party". She states she is giving facts of
what is taking place. She describes it in the words of a Baptist pastor as a
"notable renewal and hope, of faith, and of expectation. ... The Spirit of God
has been pouring out freedom, joy, and power in the most remarkable ways." She
claims that it is not denomination, not even supra-church, but "Jesus' Kingdom".
She states that there are "very bizarre things going on". Why did she go?
"Because I have heard that there was tremendous party going on, and all through
my life I've been wanting to get to a party... to be in the middle of it. I went
in a state of personal bankruptcy. ... I knew that I was needing the Lord badly,
and I had an incredible longing in my spirit for the things that I had heard
of." Yet the Lord has promised to meet with those who desire to meet with him,
to give assurance of his love and mercy to all who call upon Him. The Lord has
never promised to give us a special experience for this purpose, nor that we
would have to travel thousands of miles to get it!
